I work with international buyers—often before their first visit—to help them approach the Portuguese property market with clarity, structure, and better decision-making from the outset. My role is to help you define the right areas, identify suitable properties, and structure your search before you arrive—so that your time is used well and you are focused on the right opportunities.
Buying property in Portugal as a foreigner can be exciting, but it can also feel confusing—especially when relying on multiple selling agents and unclear local advice.
A buyer’s agent supports the buyer through the process with local insight, a clearer search strategy, independent guidance and help bringing the right people around the transaction.
Helping you define where to buy in Portugal based on lifestyle, budget, investment goals, and practical considerations. This is often the starting point before moving into the legal and purchase process.
Filtering the market, arranging viewings, and ensuring your time is focused on the right opportunities.
Providing clear, grounded input on value, suitability, and potential drawbacks from a buyer’s perspective.
Supporting your approach to offers and negotiations with local context and a clear understanding of positioning.
Connecting you with experienced lawyers, mortgage brokers, and other key professionals where needed.
Keeping the process joined up from initial search through to purchase and beyond.
I work with international buyers who are new to Portugal, unfamiliar with the local market, or simply looking for practical, on-the-ground support when purchasing property. This includes lifestyle buyers, relocating families, and investors who want clear local guidance and one trusted point of contact to help coordinate the process.
My main focus is Lisbon, Cascais, Estoril, and selected surrounding areas. Depending on the brief, I may also assist buyers in other parts of Portugal where the right opportunity and local support structure are in place.
1. Initial call
We start with a conversation about your goals, timing, budget and the type of property you are looking for.
2. Search strategy
We refine the brief, identify suitable areas and create a clearer search approach based on your priorities.
3. Shortlist and viewings
I help filter options, arrange viewings and keep the focus on properties that are genuinely worth considering.
4. Offer and negotiation support
When the right property is found, I help you approach the offer stage with better local context and a clear strategy.
5. Coordination through the process
I help keep the process joined up by coordinating with the right professionals through to completion.
Do buyer’s agents exist in Portugal?
Yes. While many agents in Portugal work on the selling side, buyer-focused support does exist. The role is to help the buyer search more strategically, assess options more clearly and move through the process with better local guidance.
How is a buyer’s agent different from an estate agent?
A traditional estate agent is usually representing the seller or the listing side. A buyer’s agent is focused on helping the buyer navigate the search, viewings, negotiation and coordination process from the buyer’s perspective.
Do you only work in Lisbon and Cascais?
My main focus is Lisbon, Cascais, Estoril, and selected surrounding areas. I also have experience supporting clients in purchasing property in Porto and the Algarve. Depending on the brief, I may assist in other parts of Portugal where the right opportunity and local support are in place.
Can you help if I am not yet in Portugal?
Yes. Many international buyers begin the process before visiting Portugal. I can help you refine your search, understand the buying process, and prepare everything in advance so your time on the ground is used well.
I work independently and focus on helping buyers move through the Portuguese property process with clarity, practical local insight, and the right professional support. My role is not to add noise, but to help you make better-informed decisions, avoid unnecessary detours, and move forward with confidence.
If you are new to Portugal, planning your first visit, or want clearer guidance on how to approach your property search, you are welcome to get in touch.
An initial conversation can help clarify your brief, your next steps, and whether working together makes sense.
